I wrote a letter to Tennie Snow and one to Elleen Stark. Called into the “Oasis” and squandered .25. Bought a box of shoe blacking .20 and a shoe brush .40. Some soap .10 and cigarettes .10.

Made out a list of the new text books and sent through merchant Taylor for the same.

6

I wrote letters to Lily Stewart and Emily Clowes. Paid Bishop Frandsen 2.00 for his mule. I caught a horned toad to day killed him by putting him in a closed bottle with ammonia. Bought .25 alcohol and put it on the animal in the bottle. Now Mr. Toad is pickling. I called on Miss Stewart this evening. We called into Ernest Horsley’s a few minutes. I went home and read a story by the Duchess entitled “A Rose Distilled”.

7

This afternoon I went up on the mountain caught a lizard, and was caught in a rain storm myself. I cured the animal after the fashion of the toad and put him in the bottle with his fellow Reptile. W.J. Nixon gave a party in honor of his 21st birthday. I went and took Maggie. Saw Mrs. Grandma Empey, Belle Morris’s Grandma. She told me that Alice McIntire had said that Belle Morris was a trifling flirt and always had a passe of me round her every night. I refuted the statement and defied any one to prove it. The challenge was not accepted.

8

Rec’d a letter from Emily C. Clowes and my teacher’s certificate from W.W. Crawford. I wrote to Kate Burt, Laurie Sloan, and Sam King. Read another story by the “Duchess”, “A New Year’s Eve”. 9

Wrote to Henry Bowring and Clark Eldredge & Co. for Branch. Played 20 games of pool with Pat Markey 1.25. Took a couple of hours sleep this afternoon. The ending of love stories generally run this way: “My love - my life - it would be death to part. Says he, with passionate earnestness” “Turning to he takes he into his arms and holds her close clasped against his heart where indeed her proper home most surely is.” George what will people say” etc., etc.

Two companies of soldiers arrived here from Camp Douglass. They are going to work on the road between here and Fort DuChesne. I took supper at Empey’s.

10

I went up on Price River with Henry Empey and wife picking Bull Berries. After which we went up to the farm where I gorged myself on carrots, turnips, melon, tomatoes, etc. Took supper as usual with my girl. When we went out and “took possession of the buggy seat.” 12 o.c.

13

It was quite cold and frosty last night. Causing it to be cold in school today. I shut it in his face a couple of times and he was going to whip me for it, but he changed his mind when he had a chance.

16

I went to the depot this evening. Branch & Judge McIntire wished me to have A. Birch arrested for disturbing the peace, but I did not wish to become popular. I went up with Henry Empey and helped him unload a load of wheat. Took supper with him. We were served to a plate of fresh rabbits. 12 o.c.

King. About 7 o’clock this evening it rained and poured bucket fulls of water from the skies. In an hour the whole country was inundated. Water was from an inch to two feet deep all a living, moving mass of mud and debris. Six miles south of Price the track washed out. I never have seen such a body of water come from heaven before in my life.

24

Henry Empy, Ernest Horsley, Arthur Horsley, Ed Stewart, Rich Branch and I went out on a hunt to day. We were out on Cloudy Well Bench about two miles when we saw the storm clouds on the wing. On they came like an army of giants going to battle in their war chariots. The thunder poured and the lightning flashed and in less than ten minutes the blinding wind and sleet had literally soaked all our clothing. On we trudged through mud and water. Some of the numerous washes contained rivers of the stormy element. We waded some, jumped some & floated over some. In half an hour we reached Empey’s and Price. The town was overflooded worse than it was last night. I killed 8 rabbits. We took dinner at Maggie’s where some of the cotton tails were dished out to us. After dinner I went home, took a good bath and went to bed. Slept until 6 PM. when I arose and took supper. In the evening H__ Empy, Judge Robinson & Crawford and I went to the depot. Sunday. Went down to the depot and gapped mouth wide open at the passengers. Was shaved .25. A Dutchman who was betting heavily on the pool game last night was getting some horses on the cars when the car break slipped and the car started down the grade. The “Francis” seeing way to avoid the encounter, pluckily lay to threw her stern into position and bared her ports for action. The “Grover” managed to hit the Francis with two balls between the wind and water, intending to impede the action of her pumps. As he bore down upon her the “Grover’s” polished Ram struck “Francis” at the water line, penetrating her interior a considerable depth. Although at a disadvantage the “Francis” kept up a spirited opposition, until the “Long Tom Gun” of the “Grover” was discharged; which virtually ended the conquest; as he drew off somewhat disabled, not a spar being left standing. I was thought at first that the “Francis” was injured, but a close examination disclosed two holes in her bottom and at an early hour this morning she was making water. I went to meeting this afternoon and was called up to preach by Bishop Frandsen. Also Ernest Horsley, Albert Drinick and Peter Olsen. I have worked in the store all week and have been making love to Terrie Jones. Thursday evening I called on Mag a few minutes all the other evenings of this week I have been in Miss Jones’ company and you bet we employed the time to good advantage. I could see her boiling with jealousy. Miss S. was a Mink of the first order of the Daughters of Eve. Going home Maggie gave me literal hell. She accused me inconstancy, deceit and being a flirt, besides saying I had made a fool of her all the time. You bet I took it all in and didn’t say much, only that we would have to talk sometime. I again played pool and drank until 3 o.c. when drunk I went home.

7

Wednesday. I have been cross & crabby all as a consequence of my hard drinking last night. But evening found me with Jen writing her a letter full of taffy. Our mutual correspondence is headed:

“Miss Takes
S.S. Jones Store”
and
“The Earl
Price Opera House”

]

Left Miss Jones and thought of Mag until I went and got full playing with Bert Norton & Paul & Smith.

8

No breakfast but vomiting on account of last night. Mag and I are the same. Simply past the time of day and that’s all. Went to depot and chatted with Ten a couple of hours, but I don’t enjoy her company much. Why did Mag & I break up. Oh why should we both be so obstinate? After leaving Ten I went and filled up. 1.50.

9

Overshoes 1.90. I wrote Ten another loving stuffing letter. My game is to make Mag feel sorry and maybe bring about a reconciliation. Ten swears she is in love with me ha! ha! I am with her? I filled up as usual on good old brandy. 3-30 o.c.

10

Saturday. Slept until 12-30. Took a bath & dinner and read awhile. Went out for a ride with Erastus Olsen. I mustered courage to call at Empey’s a few minutes and then Hen & I went down town. Taylor asked me to help him the rest of the evening and I did so winking and blinking at Ten, drunk as usual .65. In speaking of .30 which Jen owed Henry Empey I said “Let me take it up, I can then see Mag” She said “Ha, who cares if you do?” I said “Nobody” and walked across the room began eating raisins. I said Ten charge me ½# raisins and she wrote on piece of paper: C.H. Valentine To one girls heart To which I solemnly said, “by gum please tell me who it is I would like to know”, then went and got drunk.

11

This which I am about to write is written Feb’y 19/1889. Over one year ago. I am copying notes which were taken in a rude manner in a pocket note pencil book.

Sunday Dec 11/87

Wrote missives to O.N. Stalie & S. A. King. Hired Branch’s team & sleigh and took Tennie Jones out for a ride. We had an immense time in the old “Drag Box” of a sleigh. For a few quite moments we pulled through mud and snow, then stopped at the store and waited on a some customers. In the evening we called on Mrs. Smith & Mrs. Gogarty. Met Byrnen & Mrs. O’Brien. Had a “Tishum”.

12

Paid Richie Branch 1.25 for team to go out sleigh riding. Suspenders .75.

13

I bought a wax doll 1.00 & sent it home to Winnie & Tea set for Argenty 1.35, gloves 1.25, pool 1.00. played with Paul & A.J. Mead. Called on Tennie and stayed to Mr. Taylor until 11 o.c.

14

Express .65. Had quite a time with some of the pupils in school to day. Helped in the store a while, and then spent the evening perusing the columns of the Herald.

15.

As I sit on the back of a bench this morning in the school room, I can look with a certain degree of pride over the school room and see the children all the way from 5 years old to 18 studying their lessons under my jurisdiction. When I think how 60 pupils pay obedience to my dictation it truly seems wonderful and clearly shows that knowledge is power in this on particular. I wrote to mother and sent a gold ring to my sister Clara. It was a ring just like the one I gave to Maggie Stewart on her 16 birthday. Wrote to the Historical Record & had same discontinued coming to me.

Dec. 16 1887

Bought saddle from Robbins again to day 12.00. I took Tennie Jones to a relief society party & got quite gloriously full. Could hardly get her home, you bet. I was sick when I left her Oh My God.

17

Saturday,. Have been in the store all day. O how heavy & sick my head & body is. I haven’t eat a mouthful all day. I stayed with Tennie until 10 o.c. when I gamed with Alf Smith to mid night.

Sunday Dec. 18, 1887

I wrote to Lily Stewart, then read, smoked, & wrote in this journal until 2 o.c. PM Went over to Empey’s. Mag was not home so I stayed a couple of hours when Henry & went to the depot. I went into Taylor’s and stayed until 10-30.

19

All is well that ends well, and my game of pool with Paul, Bert Norton, & Mr. Mead ended all right at 5 in the afternoon we commenced playing and played until 11-30. Mead & I were trying to get each other full. I made it cost him 16.00 while it cost me $4.00. When I arrived home Mrs. Branch had given birth to a little girl. Mrs. Ry Bryner was there & I went home with her.

21

This day is the same old routine of all days. I called on Tennie in the evening.

Dec. 22, 1887

Played pool with Paul, Mead, & Bert, 2.50. Then I called on Tennie & asked her to go to a party tomorrow night. We had a time. God be with her foolish soul. She thinks I’m stuck on her, but you bet not. We sat on the floor and laughed, talked, etc., but you bet she can’t come with in an ace of My Mag. I should not say “My Mag” because she don’t care for such a fellow as me guess I’ll go to Brigham City or to Hell. I don’t want to stay where Mag is unless I can be a good friend to her, and I would be a good friend to her, but she has gone back on me. Maybe its my own fault, but I think we’re both to blame.

20

This day I skipped on acct. of bad memory. I called at the store & wrote to the Gypier Queen. When we went in the house & chatted with Mame Lewis & Mrs. Taylor a couple of hours.

23

Went to a party & took Tennie. Worked in the store till 9 o.c. Dance out at 12 & at 1 o.c. went to bed. I can’t help but talk & talk with Mag when I go to parties. We sit on the stand and talk and I would give my soul to only ask her forgiveness and be installed again with her.

24

Sent Kate Burt a pair of vases 1.00 & gave Ella one .50. Olive & Jennie cups .20. Richie a harp .25. This was the only night I ever enjoyed perfect, sweet, and happy contentment with Miss Jones. She manifested true love for me and in the impulse of the moment I was lost to her few charms. I kicked myself though for allowing her to think I was in earnest when I was not. I will not forget last night although I regret it this morning.

Chistmas Morning Dec. 25/87

I arose and took a nice warm bath, and had a good breakfast, when I arranged my toilet and went down to the depot to bid Tennie good bye. I met her at 11 o.c. bright & flushing as a radiant morning. She was [O.K.] after our “Time” last night. At 12-40 I kissed her good bye in a Pullman Palace car “Cleopatra”. Bought a novel $1.50, “The Tale of Christ” & gave it to her at 12-45. Away she flew to house and Mama and my heart rejoiced to see her go, because I did not want her to stay. Her presence distressed me wonderfully. Doll and I had a time shaving then Taylor & I took some horses to water, after which we devoured a nice turkey roast. Doll and went to the Oasis and squandered $1.50. We got immensely inebriated. Chas Webb & Bride & Hen Bryner & Bride all came home from Dixy after just getting married. They bought plenty of Dixy wine, so we went up and drank to their health. Went back to the depot and found Bert Norton. Then the two tried to get old man Petersen, our book keeper, full but he was to much for us. Finally we went up to Empey’s and then down to Albert Bryner’s where there was quite a crowd assembled to pay congratulations to Hen & Issy. After midnight I went I went to the store and played cards with Petersen until 5 o.c. when Doll came down & we had a feast on Oysters, grapes & [crax]. At 6 o.c. we retired & went to sleep, but Mr. Taylor soon ranted us up again.

26

Rec’d a musk perfume bag from Kate Burt also a hkf with my initials worked in the corner. Rec’d 60.00 from trustees & 1.00 from Mrs. McIntire. Bought a shirt for $1.50, buttons .20, crox .20, dance .50. Tom Taylor and I spruced up and went to the party. My dance didn’t amount to much any more than Mag & held down a back mourners bench and talked about our separation. And it ended in a party part of a reconciliation. After the dance Doll, Bert & I dined in the office.

27

I have been working in the store all day. Took a chance in the Raffle for a gold watch $2.00. In the eve. I wrote to Tenie, played pool with Petersen 1.00, Magnet 2.00.

We made up the plan to have Mag, Josephine, & Sarah come to Mr. Taylor for a picnic party tomorrow night. Joe engaged Josephine, Doll got Mag & I got left, Sarah didn’t want to leave her Erastus. Joe Farrer & I went over to Branch’s and evedropped Henry Mathis & Josephine after Henry left Josephine gave Joe & I a pie when we went to depot and retired to the arms of Morpheus for the night.

Dec 31 / 1887

Have been slaving in the store all day, working like a cuss, but I’d rather clerk than teach school. This evening Doll & Mag, Joe & Josephine, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Bert & Mame Lewis, Mr. & Mrs. Taylor and I had a sociable to Mr. Taylor, beer 1.00, candy & nuts 2.50. I turned very sick & left the company long before midnight and you bet I was sick all night.

Jan 2 1888

3

In the school room to day. Had a rumpus with Mis Leah Powell. She is a very subborn & unruly unlady like pupil. I spent the eve to home (Branch’s) helped Josephine with her arithmetic.

13

I went to Henry Bryner’s wedding party this eveing. I had a “squeaker” “squaker” & was twisting it in the dance which caused a row between Arthur Horsley & me. Judge McIntire put in his God Dam-n mouth & then I was mad.

14

Worked in the store. Rec’d letters from ma & Clara.

15

Sunday. I went to the river for a walk. Wrote to Brig Jones & Clara. In the evening I called at Mr. Taylor for a few minutes, then went home & read a novel “[T]racking the Truth”. Finally Joe Farrer & Mag, Doll & Josephine came home from Mathis. Josephine came in the house & she & I had a lovely time in the (“Old Arm Chair”) “Tishun”. Oh my you naughty boy. Well I can’t help it. If girls will do run into my arms they must take the remembrance, or forget me. How do you say By gum chum ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Do you remember your first night ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ to the ballroom~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ or the arms or “Cupid”.

16

I won 1.00 from Joe Farrer on a bet. He bet that this was the way to spell epicac, while I contested that Ipecac was right & so it was.

17

Jan - 22 - 1887 [sic]

Sunday. Been reading all afternoon. I went out sleigh riding with Albert Bryner. I had a regular quarrel with Geo Eldridge & Earnest Horsley, trustees. Damn them I told them what I thought. They never call into school, but you bet they know all about it.

23

Nothing of note to day. Everything smooth.

24

Paper & envelopes .60. Went up with Henry Empey and took supper. Maggie gave me a small braid of her hair.

25

Wrote to the History Company & O.N. Stole. I had a serious time with Leah & Sadie Powell & [Anie] Bryner. They used their ink to [beat] their faces and make the school laugh. Leah Powell became very abusive & unlady like wheen I corrected her & in consequence I gave her a spat on the hand.

26

I wrote letters to Tenie Jones & Emily Clowes. A man by the name of Bob Wallace was arrested for train robbers in Cal. I found out since that he was a leader of a terrible gang of men. He was put in the penitentiary for 10 years.

27

I went to the Primary Dance & took Josephine. During the dance Mag & I went out a couple of times to get fresh air and enjoy solitary feeling of something which we couldn’t help & didn’t much care to help my way. Rec’d a letter from L. Stewart inviting me to Provo on Friday to a grand ball.

28

Answered Lily’s letter favorable if I could possible get away. I saw Tom Mitchell, my cousin, to day. I went up to Empey’s with Henry for supper after which I lingered and seemed rather to stay than go. Somehow Mag’s look fixed and riveted me to my chair and when I thought of how I talked unkind to her in school in really made me sorry. I had been drinking quite freely all day any way & I didn’t seem to care much for my self. During the evening we managed to get in the kitchen together when to my great surprise we embraced each other & had a complete reconciliation. It was on this eve that I first became aware that something serious was the matter between Mag & I and long before I left that night we had sworn an everlasting peace & unity of friendship & love in other words we concluded to take a canoe and manage the oars of life together. To think we are engaged to be married. I like that because I love my darling Maggie, but O my Lord, what other feeling is this which heaves my bosom & causes her & I mental suffering. Never mind we will brace worlds of men & women with an open [comitenance] yet & our life will be a [jewel].

29

Sunday morning a bright clear cold morning & I have a crest fallen woe begotten smile [??] line upon my face. I go to the dep’t and have a talk with Tom Mitchell who leaves for Vernal. At noon I go up to Empey’s of course to see Mag & her Ma this time. Kissy & Henry go down to Taylor’s & leave Mag & I home all alone. We nurse each other in the old rocker but what a sensation when down your one side of the chair with both of us on top of it. In the evening along comes a crowd of men from Spring Glen to get Mag to take a part on the stage in a play called “Brought to Light”. In the evening I read the play to Mag and her Ma. About 2 o’clock I broke the ice and asked Mrs. Empey if she had any objections to Mag & I getting married to which she consented.

30

I wrote to Lily Stewart and told here that I would not come down to the ball. Mr. Taylor wants me to come & work in the S.S. Jones store. I made out the school bills this evening and then called up to see Mag 2 o.c. “Tish”.

31

Rec’d letters from Tenie Jones, Lily Stewart, & His. Pub. Company. Of course the eve was spent with my Maggie and you bet we had a good time.

February 1st 1888

I wrote to Tenie Jones in which I declined her kind invitation to the ball at Provo. I wrote to Will Gunsen. Enjoyed Mag’s company this evening.

2

Nothing of much importance to day but this evening I had a glorious time up in the same old homestead Empey’s.

3

I concluded to quit the school in dead earnest and go to work in the store, so I accordingly saddled up Bro Branches old nig horse and went to see the trustees, besides there is so much sickness.

4

Saturday. I worked in the store to day. Mr. & Mrs. Taylor went to Provo. Mrs. Taylor to stay there. Rec’d a letter & some pamphlets from B.H. Jones who is messenger in the Legislature. I bought oysters & crackers and Henry, Kissy, Mag, & I had a big oyster supper.

5

Sunday. Have been in the store most all day. Went home with Henry in the evening. They all left home but Mag & I and your bet we had a spooning time.

6

I stopped school to day. After it was out I went to work in the store and made a bargain to clerk all summer. In the evening I went up to Empey’s and we mad out an order for the silk wedding dress which after words cost me $30.00, also corset, bustle, etc.

7

Rec’d a letter from W. Jensen in which he told me that he and my sister Clara were going to be married in the sweet by & bye. O this evening I can never forget when Mag & I concluded to tell her Ma the great secret of our lives & our love. The secret which no on knew except us and God and the secret which no else would ever know, but we conclude to be honest & repair all the wrongs of our heart consequently we called our dear Mother our best friend on earth and the one who proved to be so we called her into the dark room and there divulged our three months secret o could you only have been there. There was weeping, heart rendings, & caresses never before known in our lives but our poor hearts were lifted of a burden and we gave thanks to God for his benevolence. We then & there fixed on Satureday the 11 day of February 1888 at 5 o’clock to be our wedding.

8

Bought a lot of oranges & wine for Mag & a nice handkerchief till o’clock 1. I went down home to Branch’s & told Mrs. Branch of our wedding. She wouldn’t believe me.

9

I took up a lot of candy & nuts to day and Mrs. Empey made our wedding cake. Taylor came from Provo. I told him & Joe Farrer of our wedding. Of course Mag & I held down the large hours of the night until the [wi smo] hour of 3 o’clock in the morning. X

10

And to day I bought 2 cases of beer, 5 gallons of wine and every thing necessary for our wedding tomorrow. No one will believe that we are going to be married. They all seem to think it a huge joke. Have invited a good many people up to reception. Doll Fausett went to Provo this morning. Mr. Taylor wants me to rent his house & live by the store so him & Joe can board with us. I found a second cousin to day, Mrs. I. B. Roberts who was Miss Alexander.

Feb’y, 11 - 1888 Our Own Wedding Day

I worked in the store until one o’clock to day bright sun overhead. I took up a few things to the house, butter, cheese, wine glasses, corkscrew, neck tie, broach pin, cake dish, 85 slippers & stocking, shoes for me. At 2 o.c. I went up to Empey’s in high spirits. Henry & I hitched up the buggy and drove down to get E.W. McIntire, Justice of the Peace who performed the marriage ceremony at 4-30 P.M. on Feb. 11 - 1888 in the presence of Judge McIntire, Wife & babe, Miss Sarah Cox, Geo Robb, Wife & family, Henry Empey & Ma Empey & the family. In the evening we gave our supper and reception which passed off all very lively and everyone had a good time. The following were present Geo Robb & family, Empey & family, Miss Cox father & mother, E. Horsley & wife, Mrs. Arthur Horsely, Bro Branch & wife & baby, Belle, Mrs. Pace, Ry Bryner, Maggie Pace , John Pace, Henry Bryner & Issy Birch his wife. C. Webb & wife Erastus Olsen, Pat Morkey & Alice McIntire, Mr. & Mrs. Al Smith, Burt Norton, Joe Farrer & C.H. Tayolr. Our evening was a pleasant one but night much more pleasant i.e. what we got of it, but Joe & Burt stayed most of the night. Miss Mathers her sister’s Josephine & Ceny were there. Many presents were offered and among them a chamber by Joe & Burt, it was filled with beer and fried cakes and in the top contained a box of pills bottles of sweet nitre and paregoric.

12

Sunday. Arose at 9-30 and after breakfast went down to Branch’s and settled with him for my board and lodging as I now have a new place to board. Made out school report, packed my trunk and took up to Empey’s. After supper Henry took my things up to the house and Mag & I spent the evening in rummaging over old relics and letters and photographs.

13

Went to store and worked hard all day. E.W McIntire gave me our marriage certificate signed by Sarah Cox & Geo Robb and he charged me 5.00 for it. I wrote to Tenie Jones, Mother and History Co.

14

Valentine’s Day. Everybody says this is my day and that Mag had got a Valentine just in time. In the evening Joe Taylor and I mopped the store. Rec’d letters from Grace Appleby & Emily Clowes. Sent Ma some of our wedding cake and sent for Mag a nice silk dress for her wedding dress and for our ball.

15

Been washing and cleaning in the store all day. S.S. Jones came from Provo. Mag’s dress came this evening. Wrote to Lily Stewart, Kate Burt and Mag’s father W.V. Stewart and sent him my photograph also sent one to Mag’s grandma Mary Jones.

16

Mag and Ma came down to the store. [???] went to Mrs. Gogarty’s and stayed there all day. In the evening we took supper there and played cards after which we waddled through the mud and Mag lost her rubbers about 40 times. On going to bed Mag told me of a [disarrangement] or rupture which proved to be a false one but we were uneasy for a few days.

17

Settled with the trustees for the last term of school and made out reports of both terms.

18

Henry, Kissy, Mag & I mad arrangements with Mr. Taylor to rent a tumbled down house to run a boarding house in we pay $15 rent per month and I bought some beds and furniture from him and paid him $130.00 gold and oh God since that day I have found out that I could duplicate the order with $100.00 and buy new furniture but Mr. T. is a gentleman. I wrote Ma a sassy letter.

19

Joe cut my hair. Rec’d letters from Ma Lily Stewart and Miss Jones. Wrote to Lily, Tenie, & Ma. Met Dr. Seymour B. Young.

26

Sunday. Maggie & I had a bath in our room at the hotel to day. Mother and my little sister Winnie came from Brigham on the after noon train. Mother nearly fainted at the depot when I met her. She carried on awful but with the help of about 50 men and bystanders I got her over to the hotel. Her consoling remark on introducing her to my wife was “Enough to make anyone sick”. After the first struggle was over and she was introduced to everybody I found Mrs. Empey crying in the kitchen. She didn’t understand Ma and thought [we] was acting so on account of Ma and I didn’t know what was the matter, but between the two crying Mother and Mother-in-law I concluded to find Maggie and stick to her through thick and thin. I don’t care for anyone else. After dark I went to the hay house to sell some hay and in my excitement cut my foot with the ax while trying to cut a bail of hay.

27

My Mother isn’t very much stuck on her visit although we try to please her. We visited Mathis’, Whitmore’s, O’Brien’s, Branch’s, and Robb’s. Had our wedding dance which cost $13.00. There was not so much of a turn out as I expected. Maggie looked lovely in her wedding d
