348 | Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather and uncle, Harold Joseph "Joe" Valentine, peacefully passed away the morning of April 24, 2012. Joe was born Jan. 25, 1931, in Brigham City, Utah, a twin son of Glen Hansen Valentine and Esther Petersen Valentine. Joe loved God, family and country. His life was filled with excitement, happiness and joy. His education began in Brigham City, grades one through five; and Cache Valley schools, grades six through 12. He graduated from North Cache High School in 1949. He attended Branch Agricultural College in Cedar City for three years then transferred to Utah State University in Logan, Utah, from which he was awarded a bachelor's degree in civil engineering. He joined the U.S. Air Force in 1956 and retired in August 1983 at the rank of lieutenant colonel. Subsequent to his retirement, he was employed by Northrop Grumman Corporation for 19 years. In 1952 he married Diann Morrell from Kanab, Utah, whom he had met at BAC. They had three children, Cameron Valentine, Dane Valentine and Andrea Valentine. Joe and Diann were later divorced. He subsequently married Nancy Beadle and they were happily married at the time of his passing. In life, Joe always enjoyed sports. As a youth he would labor for hours over the newspapers following his favorite teams and players. In high school and at BAC he participated in football, basketball and baseball. As he grew older he enjoyed following his favorite teams, the Angels and Lakers. Joe was an avid, excellent golfer and in quiet times enjoyed conquering crossword puzzles. Joe had a wonderful family and many friends and often served as a peacemaker among them. Joe enjoyed good music, spirits and laughter with family and friends at The Coachman Dinner House, Art's Bar & Grill and the Sire. Joe is survived by his wife, Nancy; children, Cameron, Dane and Andrea; brothers, Robert G. Valentine and Jarold C. Valentine; and sister, Susan K. Valentine. Those who predeceased Joe are his parents, Glen Hansen Valentine and Esther Petersen Valentine; brothers, Dale E. Valentine and Luis J. Valentine; and many uncles, aunts and cousins. From his second family on Nancy's side, he was predeceased by Ruby E. Beadle, William R. McGlocklin, Karen Beadle and Phillip More. | VALENTINE, Harold Joseph (P7064)
